AZAAD works between prisoners and ex-prisoners in all four prisons of Mumbai, Nashik, Taloja and Sangli through in-prison service delivery and rehabilitation of ex-prisoners. Adult literacy, value education, computer skills training, medical camps, counselling and nutrition components, increase the quality of life of the prison inmates. Legal help assists in release of languishing under trials and rehabilitation, with vocational training and networking, results in mainstreaming as well as seeks to deliver prisoners back into society. Azaad is a holistic response to the dire needs of the men, women and children in prison, thereby gifting them the dream of care and opportunity.
